We've been busy coming up with a whole host of ideas for things to do across Bedfordshire next year - things that you and your church can get involved with!

Here's a quick run down of what 2008 looks like at the moment:

31st December 2007
We're launching with a bang (or several!) with fireworks and worship at Russell Park Baptist Church from 5pm, but if you're passionate about praying for Hope, then do get involved in our 24 hour progressive prayer event from 12 noon to 12 noon on New Years Day. Churches around the area are committing to pray for one or more hours during this time for our outreach during the year.

January/February - Fresh Hope
We've got a parenting course and possibly a marriage course planned for during this time, both good opportunities to learn new skills and review where things are at, with an easy going approach making them accessible to anyone.

Easter - The Big Hope
Ideas for Easter are still being developed, but one that we can tell you about is the possibility of having a special Hope 08 blood doning session, a simple but invaluable way to help others. If you've already got things planned for Hope in Easter, do let us know!

April/May - Hope on the Streets
Timed well to co-incide with the regular Revelation Gig at Esquires, we have a week of social action, likely to involve gardening, car washing, painting and litter picking. As if doing this once wasn't enough, we're planning to do it all over again on May Bank Holiday weekend, working together to serve the people of Bedfordshire.

July/August - Hope over the Summer
We're planning at least one free fun day in Bedford over the summer, which is likely to involve food, music and plenty of great stalls and games. Alongside this, we're planning on being present at the River Festival, which is planned to be bigger than ever in 2008, and is the second largest carnival in the country - what an opportunity to serve!

September/October - Hope Explored
A time for exploring just what all this hope is about, with town wide Alpha courses, and another Marriage Course planned.

December/Christmas - The Gift of Hope
Still a way of yet, but we've started planning, particularly focusing our efforts on town centre initiatives in this busy shopping period. Alongside this, we're planning several outside carol singing sessions, in estates across the town, so watch out for further details as we get nearer the time.

Hope in Schools
Besides all that, throughout the year we've got some extra special events like one or more Battles of the Bands that we're working towards putting on in and around schools in the Bedford area, and information on loads more events and opportunities going on across the area.
